Who We Are
We are Cornell’s oldest plant-focused student organization, tracing our roots back to Liberty Hyde Bailey’s “Lazy Club.” Hortus Forum is a student-run community dedicated to exploring biodiversity, horticulture, and the joy of growing plants. We care for a diverse greenhouse collection of tropical and arid species, propagating them for bi-monthly plant sales that support our work and teach hands-on skills in plant care and business management. Each year, we represent Cornell at the Philadelphia Flower Show and collaborate with other ecology and plant groups to host educational events that celebrate biodiversity and connect students through a shared passion for plants.
